SG Power is Vancouver Island’s largest and longest established power sports dealership. The company story stretches back to the 1960’s when Bernie Simpson began working for Mullins Marine, a well known Victoria motorcycle and marine retailer. Bernie became part owner of Mullins in the 1970’s and in 1985 he bought the entire company and began looking for a new, larger location to accommodate his big plans for the future. This expansion came in the form of a new partnership with Bob Gibson and the newly named SG Power set up shop in the expanded premises at 730 Hillside Avenue. In 1989 Bob left and Bernie was again the sole owner of the operation. Since then SG Power has continued to operate out of this location, serving clients at our huge Hillside Avenue showroom, as well as the 748 Market Street boatyard, showroom and service bays.
